Smouldering Tomb - Maledictions Upon The Wretched Cassette (DC87)

Dry Cough is pleased to announce a cassette release of 'Maledictions Upon The Wretched', the debut EP from Brighton's SMOULDERING TOMB.

Formed in early 2025, Smouldering Tomb is an oppressive and dense OSDM band, harking back
to grotesqueries introduced in the '9Os by the likes of Incantation, Gorguts and Mortician.
'Maledictions Upon The Wretched' was released digitally in June 2025, and luckily for Dry Cough, had somehow yet to be picked up by one of the myriad underground labels currently dredging the Death Metal swamp.
Presenting misanthropic views of the world through their blistering songs, Smouldering Tomb's
sound and subject matter has immediately struck a chord with the UK metal scene- securing
them slots on bills alongside bands such as Coffin Mulch, Cryptworm, Portrayal of Guilt, Putrid Offal, Foetal Juice, & Scordatura, Coffin Mulch, and Cryptworm, as well as a number of festival appearances.
As the band's reputation continues to grow, an overdue physical release of their debut recording feels like a no-brainer, and will hopefully help the band cement themselves as one of the better bands in the UK death metal scene.
