Dry Cough has once again dredged the swamps of Yorkshire to bring you more grot from the mighty Slimelord.
INSURMOUNTABLE PERIL’ is the next step in the evolution of SLIMELORD. With 'UNTIL WE FEED AGAIN' building on the sinister mists conjured previously on tracks like 'Insectoid' and 'Amphibious Dirge', this introduction expands the anticipation for forthcoming tracks by adding layers of orchestration and instrumentation, most notably of mysterious effects summoned by multiple guitar pedals like the EHX Superego and TX Electronics Hall Of Fame 2. The main meal of the release however is 'DEATH ON THE BAYOU’, a brutal non-stop barrage of tumbling riffs and blasts in which every member has upped their game considerably. This composition began during the first few weeks of SLIMELORD's existence and as usual was completed naturally through free-flowing improvisation, regular listeners of the band will certainly be startled upon experiencing their continued brutality through high speeds as opposed to their signature slug-like pace which still remain in parts. 'DEATH ON THE BAYOU' has oxbow riffs, our fastest drumming, spidering basslines, monstrous vocals and calculated leads. All of which point forwards to the future where their debut album emerges from the swamplands.
Released in conjunction with Sewer Rot Records in the US.
